- Every photograph that carries meaning has a text description.
- Colour pairings are measured rather than estimated. Body text exceeds 4.5:1 contrast, and most of the site exceeds the stricter 7:1 threshold.
- Fully operable by keyboard, with a visible focus indicator that never relies on colour alone, and a “Skip to main content” link first in the tab order.
- The hero video is muted, carries no meaning, and is not downloaded at all if you have asked your system to reduce motion.
- Touch targets are at least 48 by 48 pixels.
- No CAPTCHA puzzles.
At the inns
Our inns occupy historic buildings — including converted mansions — across four sites, and accessibility varies a great deal between suites and between buildings. Rather than make a general claim, we would rather you called the inn directly so we can describe specific suites, entrances, stairs and bathrooms honestly, and help you choose one that works.
